Mission Statement
This program is important to me as an individual because it gives me a sense of comfort to know what my future is going to be like. Although there is no certainty that in the rollar coaster of life I will get into the college of my choice, graduate with honors, and immediately secure a successful job only months after graduation, I know that if I have my goals in sight, I will be more likely to accomplish my dreams.
This program will affect me now because I can begin planning for my future. For example, I can begin taking classes at my high school that will give me a basic background in sports medicine such as the Anatomy & Phisiology and Sports Medicine electives. In about five years, I will be completing my freshman year in college. This plan will have reminded me of my goals so I will know what my dreams are in case college life has distracted me or changed me in any way. As for ten years, I am not sure. Although there are plenty of opportunities for work, such as professional, college, and high school sports, in hospitals, the military, and sports medicine clinics, but the demand for trainers is going down in the year 2014, the year I am graduating high school.
I hope to gain from my ten year program the proper knowledge needed to persue a career in sports medicine.
